In groups, we grow spiritually as we encourage one another to outbursts of love and good deeds, thus proving to the world that we are disciples of Christ. A connection with Jesus Christ is necessary for this to happen, because we must receive his love and truth before we can share it. Similarly, spiritual growth prepares us for service to our neighbors. At the Eastgate church, growth groups include the adult sabbath schools and those groups which meet during the week, including Celebrate Recovery (Thursdays at 7:00 pm). Members are encouraged to join at least one "growth group"--a name that emphasizes purpose rather than size.
